Operating Effectiveness
Our operating practice discipline is managed by Mike Iacobucci and Joe Gildea. Our engagements are typically short term in nature with options presented for follow-on involvement. Our staff are former operating executives and are able to draw upon additional specialized resources such as financial or technology based from within the firm. Read the Case studies below:

Case Study 1
A major venture capital firm contacted us when it realized that one of its portfolio companies had exhausted most of its funding through capital equipment expenditures and with a downturn in orders from its major customers, it was running into a cash crisis. We took on the role of interim CFO and working with the company's CEO realigned the head count and operating costs to the adjusted revenue level. In addition, the company's bank loans were converted to an interest-only basis for a twelve-month period and structured long-term payment arrangements were the company's major vendors were established in order to allow the company to rebuild its cash reserves.

Case Study 2
A major provider of corporate research engaged us to work with them on evaluating the benefits of merging with another leader in the corporate research market. We worked with the CEO and CFO of the acquirer to evaluate post merger integration benefits and develop an exchange ratio and purchase price that made sense based on the anticipated benefits. We continued to support the CEO and CFO during their negotiations. Although, the merger was not consummated, our analysis was invaluable in providing a go/no go framework.
